Florida Higher Education Reform
Florida HB 1507 makes a percentage of state funding in two-year post-secondary schools contingent on graduate earnings.
Cicero Action worked with House Leadership to include this provision in the state’s comprehensive workforce development package, which passed both chambers unanimously before being signed into law.
Once the regulations are finalized, earnings will account for two-thirds of the state’s performance funding for colleges, aligning schools’ incentives with those of taxpayers and students.
